The International Armenian Literary Alliance’s Young Armenian Poets Awards in honor of Tamar Asadourian is now open for submissions. This annual call for original poetry written by Armenian teens all over the world is in its fifth iteration. Three winners will each receive $200, publication in the online cultural arts magazine h-pem as well as a feature at International Armenian Literary Alliance’s annual Emerging Writers’ Showcase, and a copy of Tamar Asadourian’s I remember you my future. This year, poets are invited to explore how we “sing” in dark times. Award-winning writers Gregory Djanikian, Arminé Iknadossian, and Raffi Wartanian are our judges. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2025.

Please help us find and celebrate the next generation of writers. Share this email and the attached flier with anyone in your community/institution who knows or works with an Armenian teenager between the ages of 14 and 18 who might be interested in participating. Over the past four years, we’ve read dynamic and innovative work from around the globe and we hope to broaden our reach even more this year. This can only happen with your assistance.
